A little over a week ago I returned from an incredible 15 days away where I visited Egypt, Jordan & Israel – three countries I’ve had on my Bucket List for ages – and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
Before starting work at TravelLab last year this is definitely a question I would have asked too – in the age of the Internet with all the information in the world at your fingertips, why would you need to use a travel agent? So just in case you were wondering the same thing, here is a short article sharing our top reasons why you should consider us when planning your next holiday…
On the 27th March 2018 the renewal cost of a British passport is set to rise by up to 17%. This means an adult passport is going to increase from £72.50 to £85.00.
In case you weren’t aware, you’re able to renew your passport with up to 9 months of validity left and the remaining time carries over onto your next passport expiry date. So if your passport expires before December 27th this year, then it may well be worth getting it renewed ASAP to save yourself a few quid!
February 13th marked the first arrival of a British charter flight to Tunisia since the devastating Sousse terror attack in 2015, which tragically killed 36 holiday-makers, of which, 30 were from the UK.
When I arrived at Benito Juarez airport in Mexico City towards the end of February 2017, I’d already been travelling and away from home for over 6 months and Mexico had a lot of amazing places to live up to. But it certainly did, and then some! My initial plan was to spend a week in Mexico City, then head over to Cancun for Spring Break and then head off elsewhere (I’m not really one for making too detailed plans!), but those vague plans soon changed as I was swallowed into a country which attracts tourists from every corner of the earth.
With this newly announced route, you will now be able to fly directly to mainland China from somewhere outside of London for the first time ever. With 4 scheduled flights per week, it is now easier than ever to discover everything that China has to offer…
At TravelLab, we love travel! Because of this, we’ve always got new trips, holidays and work familiarisation trips planned to keep exploring the world, to make sure we have the best knowledge possible to pass onto our amazing customers. This year we’ve got loads of brilliant trips planned, some of which you’ll find below.
Shortly after joining TravelLab in September last year, I was fortunate enough to be offered a work ‘familiarisation’ trip to Belek, in southern Turkey. Although obviously being extremely thankful for this amazing opportunity, I was slightly sceptical having heard less than great things about Turkey on the news over the past couple of years. Not one to turn down a trip abroad to discover a part of the world I’d not been to before, I tried to remain open-minded and optimistic about the journey and aimed to see what a holiday in Turkey might look like.
