Excellence Riviera Cancun is situated on a magnificent sugar white sand beach, between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. No wristbands, no reservations, superb rooms, a wonderful spa are but a few highlights of Excellence Riviera.
The resort is surrounded by a string of sparkling beaches with the world’s second largest barrier reef just off shore, and underground rivers, caves and jungles lure adventure lovers. Ancient Mayan archaeological sites pepper the region; many developed but many others still unexcavated.
Our Opinion
Excellence Riviera is one of the better mid-range 5-star resorts along the Riviera Maya coast, and gets consisting great reviews. It is an adult only resort and you should definitely keep it on your short list. There is not much to walk to from the resort so if you want to head out you’ll rack up taxi fares.
Location
Excellence Riviera Cancun is located near Puerto Morelos along the north end of the Riviera Maya. Transfers take about 20 minutes.
