Sol Palmeras
Sol Palmeras is a lead-in 4-star all inclusive resort along Varadero’s beachfront. The hotel offers refreshing pools surrounded by gardens, terraces and bars. Sol Palmeras has a wide range of facilities to keep everyone active or you can relax on the beach and do nothing! As it is part of the Las Americans complex of hotels, there is plenty to do outside the resort too.
Our Opinion
Sol Palmeras is a value 4-star option. If you are after luxury, this will not be the right hotel for you. But overall this is a well-reviewed hotel offer great value for money with the bonus of having lots, or little, to do.
Location
Sol Palmeras is located on the Hicacos Peninsula and Varadero Beach, and downtown Varadero is a 10 min taxi ride away with its shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. Varadero airport 30 minutes away. The hotel forms part of the Las Americas complex.
Accommodation
408 rooms on 4 floors in the main building with 4 lifts and 200 additional bungalows and suites. All with a balcony/terrace. Standard Rooms in the main building with pool, garden or ocean views.
Room types:
Junior Suites – located on the 3rd and 4th floor, with pool, garden or ocean views, terrace.
Suites – are larger, offer more privacy and located on the corners of the building.
Bungalow Luxe – located in separate units scattered around the tropical gardens.
Bungalow Suites – located in separate units in privileged areas of the tropical gardens.

- Sole Mio (a la carte dinner only, Italian)
- La Panchita (breakfast, lunch and dinner, buffet with show cooking)
- La Fajita (a la carte lunch and dinner, Mexican)

- 6 bars including pool bar (open till 9.00pm) and fun pub (till 2.00am).
- 3 snack bars (10.00am-5.00pm).
- Lobby bar serving pastries (10.00am-12.00pm)
- NOTE: Not all restaurants are open for all meals. Reservations required at speciality restaurants and subject to availability. O Sole Mio, Steak House, Oshin, El Marino, Mexican, 2 reservations per week, however if there is availability further reservations are permitted.
