Our Opinion
This is a great 4-Star resort. Very lovely & Lush gardens plus a gorgeous pool area. Food & beverage are excellent too. It also has an All Inclusive program which is relatively uncommon in the Far East and it might be worth considering.
Location
Bandara is located on Bo Phut beach, lovely and serene. Chaweng is only 10 or so minutes on a tuk tuk so if you want the hussle and bussle it’s right nearby
Accommodation
Rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD / CD / Stereo system , minibar, coffee/tea making facilities & pillow menu.
Room types:
Standard Rooms 49sqm have king sized beds. Bathrooms feature a separate shower & bathtub.
Deluxe Rooms as standard rooms have king sized beds or queens sized beds. each with a private balcony.
Grand Deluxe Rooms 63-73sqm with 1 King size bed with a sofa and setting area. An interconnecting door on the balcony with the balcony of a superior room which makes these suites suitable for families. Both have a large balcony that overlook the lush garden setting. Both have day beds set on the balcony and a ceiling fan.
Villas – all designed with a tropical theme of open space and a vaulted ceiling complete with an ornate ceiling fan. Each has a private 3X3 metres pool and an alfresco deck for relaxing on either of the two sun beds, dining, or private Thai massage. They also have an extra large bathroom with a cozy shower, toilet, and twin vanity units. Off of this bathroom is a glass patio door which opens to a uniquely Bandara secret garden, where an organic sunken bathtub and exotic rain-shower await your personal bliss.
Restaurants & Bars
Bandara has two excellent restaurants, two bars and has various theme nights. Bandara is also unusual in that it offers an All Inclusive Option. It includes a choice of a carte meals for lunch and dinner, soft drinks, tea, coffee and local beer consumed with your lunch and dinner only. Excludes minibar, room service or pool bar.
Chom Dao Restaurant – a beachfront terrace restaurant with the full array of Western created cuisine mixed with authentic Asian signature dishes
Leelavadee estaurant – breakfast & all day dining with an a la carte menu featuring Thai specialties, seafood, daily chef recommended dishes, and also European delights.
The Beach Bar – offers cool drinks, refreshments, fruit juices, exotic tropical cocktails and a wide variety of spirits.
Ling Lounge – outdoor lounge is connected to the main lobby. It offers visitors a splendid 180 degree view of the resort, and offers refreshments including cocktails and non-alcohol cocktails, select wines, and spirits and liqueurs. Entertainment is provided 4 times a week. Relax and enjoy a pre-dinner drink or after dinner night cap in this cozy atmosphere
