The All inclusive resort made up of the Sol Rio de Luna and the Sol Río de Mares is found on the Playa Esmeralda Beach, at Holguin, on the east coast of Cuba. It is set in immense gardens in the Parque Maritimo Bahia de Navajo.
Our Opinion
This is another superbly run Sol Resort. And while is may be a modest 4-Star usually with a bargain price, guests rate this resort highly. It receipts nonstop good or excellent reviews.
Location
Sol Rio de Luna is found on the Playa Esmeralda Beach, at Holguin, on the east coast of Cuba. If you are looking for outright luxury this hotel might not be the right one for you. But if you are after a good quality holiday on a pretty beach, with a lot of food & beverage outlets and plenty of facilities, this is a great option for your shortlist.

Room types:
Standard Room – Quiet, fully equipped rooms with terrace or balcony. They provide a king size bed or two single beds for you to choose from (subject to availability, on request on arrival at hotel). Between approximately 38 and 42 m2, plus 4 m2 of terrace or balcony.
All the rooms are tastefully decorated and are comfortable and functional, especially designed for you to enjoy throughout your stay.

Standard Sea View Room – Quiet rooms with balconies with splendid ocean views and of the beautiful Playa Esmeralda beach and stunning sunsets. They are fitted with a full range of facilities and comforts. They provide a king size bed or two single beds for you to choose from (subject to availability, on request on arrival at hotel). Between approximately 38 and 42 m2, plus 4 m2 of terrace or balcony.

Junior Suite – A room which is larger than the Standard Room. Located on the second, third and fourth floors of the Mares section with attractive ocean views. They provide a bedroom, small lounge and balcony, offering the best possible way for guests to enjoy their stay, as well as all of the services and facilities described for the Standard Room. They measure approximately 60 m2 and are ideal for families with children thanks to the space they provide.

2 Buffet-style Restaurants, serving a wide range of international and regional specialities, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Mediterranean Restaurant on the beach, with international dishes at midday and typical Mediterranean cuisine in the evening; once every week special Romantic Night.
Italian Restaurant, poolside, featuring snacks during the day and Italian specialities in the evening; at 11pm a light nighttime dinner is offered.
Mexican Restaurant next to the pool, with snack service all day long and Mexican cuisine for dinner
