Oblu by Atomosphere at Helengeli is renowned for its house reef. The resort re-opened in 2015 with vibrant, trendy & cool designs. This is a mid-sized island both in size and villa numbers. There are some 20 superb dive sites nearby and the house reef teams with life.

This 4-star resort gets excellent reviews consistently and is a truly typical Maldivian island at its best. It is low on frills but has the basics such as a Spa, gym, swimming pool.

If you are after an authentic island and real Maldives experience this should be on your shortlist. If snorkelling and diving are on your brief, raise it further up your list!

Location

Oblu by Atmosphere at Helengeli is located at the top end of the North Male Atoll. The island is a 50-minute speedboat transfer from Male International Airport.

Accommodation

Helengeli has 116 villas with vibrant, trendy and colourful interiors fused with tropical Maldivian designs, without affecting the natural aesthetics of the lush green island itself.

Room types:

Beach Villas are 48 sqm Entry-Level semi detached beach villas just a few steps from the shores of the island, cozy interiors with open air bathrooms and private outdoor deck.

Lush tropical greens and island vegetation leading the way to the stunning beach from the entrance. Villas come complete with its own dedicated sunloungers.

Deluxe Beach Villas are slight larger at 52sqm, these elegant and comfortable villas offering direct beach access and the lagoon beyond.

Lagoon Villas with Plunge Pool offer 77sqm of space with a 5.2sqm plunge pool with sun loungers. Offering spectacular sunset views, the Lagoon Villas are built half on land and the deck opens into the serene turquoise lagoon.

Beach Suites with Pool are large 2 bedroom villas with 191sqm of space, each with its very own 20 m2 Swimming Pool. These are perfect for families or 2 couples.

Restaurants and Bars

Helena’s bar is adjacent to the swimming pool with stunning sunset views and has a selection of House-pour Wines & Beers, cocktails with weekly theme nights and evening entertainment.

The Spice is the main buffet restaurant offer cuisine from around the world with live cooking stations. There is indoor and outdoor seating and stunning views.

Just Grill is a fine-dining speciality restaurant open for Lunch & Dinner, offering a wonderful selection of seafood & meats.
