Kuramathi

One of our absolute favourite islands in the Maldives! Debbie, Jai and Michaela have all stayed at Kuramathi and so can offer personal advise and inside information!

Kuramathi Island Resort is a gorgeous 4-star island with acres of luxuriant vegetation, spectacular beaches finishing off at a beautiful sandbank where you can watch the sun set. The idyllic property is also one of the most well-reviewed and sought after islands with many loyal guests who return year after year. You can stroll along powsery soft white beaches and dip your toes in the water to cool off on a balmy day. Spend leisurely hours exploring the vibrant reefs or an afternoon of extravagance at the spa. Indulge in dining and wining experiences to suit your every desire.

Michaela visited Kuramathi on her recent trip to the Maldives, and shared her thoughts in her brilliant blog, which you can find – HERE.

Our Opinion

Kuramathi is another Island we have been to and is one of our favourites. If you have never been to the Maldives, this is certainly an excellent taste of what the Maldives is all about.

While it is a big island the atmosphere is that of a smaller retreat so it is an excellent compromise for a couple where one wants everything and the other wants peace.

Also we like the fact that it has a great house reef down one side and a gorgeous lagoon on the other. Plus the all-inclusive plan is very good and the A La Carte/Select takes it even further. All things considered, we highly recommend Kuramathi.

Location

Kuramathi is located in the Rasdhoo Atoll located just off the larger Ari Atoll . Standard transfers are by speedboat which take approximate 1 1/2 hours. Optional seaplane transfers take about 20 minutes. Kuramathi is one of the few islands you can do a one-way seaplane upgrade.
