Kagi is one of the most exciting and unique Maldivian islands to open its ‘doors’ in recent years. Like its namesake suggests, Spa is what it is all about.
This isn’t your normal resort with a spa; the Baani Spa is an immersive and soothing retreat where days are full of self-care, good-for-you but-mouthwatering meals and restorative yoga sessions.
There are just 50 villas at Kagi Maldives, 40 that are set out over the lagoon. The style is stylish and calming with natural and cool white tones, rustic wall décor and soft furnishings that you’ll just want to sink into; think along the lines of contemporary beach chic and you’ll have Kagi’s design in mind. Each villa, whether by the beach or above the water, has a private infinity-edge pool. If you opt for an Ocean Villa, this refreshing spot is the place to be for a front-row view for those epic Indian Ocean sunsets. The Beach Villas lead straight out onto talcum sands while the Lagoon and Ocean Villas have direct access to the water.
The taste of countries of the Pacific Rim are brought to the Maldives by way of the ocean-view signature restaurant Ke-Un. This is a rare concept in these Indian Ocean atolls, but you’ll soon get on board as you try flavourful Hawaiian, Japanese, Thai and Peruvian dishes. A little more casual and serving cuisine from around the world, Noo Faru is the island’s main restaurant; it’s a great place to begin your day as you sit down to freshly-made buffet dishes with a backdrop of the pool and turquoise lagoon beyond.
Our Opinion
This will surely be another gorgeous new resort in the Maldives. This one smaller, contemporary and a real Spa focus. Perfect to recharge.
Location
Kagi Maldives is located at the top end of the North Malé Atoll. Airport transfer time is 1 hour by speedboat or a 15-minute seaplane journey.

Lagoon Pool Villas

Beach Pool Villas
Designed for an intimate beach getaway featuring the authentic design characteristics of all our guest villas, featuring bathroom spanning across indoor and outdoor space with a rainfall shower and a deep tub to soak under the heavens. An expansive deck with private pool overlooks the beach and the endless turquoise blue ocean.
Restaurants and Bars
Noo Faru
Kagi Maldives’ main restaurant, with fresh buffet dishes book-ending the day. Breakfast overlooking the pool and ocean is a great way to start the day, while the international cuisine at dinner as the pool is lit up beautifully is the perfect place to bring it to a close.
Ke-Un
The emphasis here is on Pacific Rim cuisine with dishes from the many countries that border the Pacific Ocean so you can try Thai, Peruvian, Hawaiian and Japanese cuisine.
Spa Corner
Over the water, within the Baani Spa, is the healthy dining venue, Spa Corner. Lunch is served here as well as light dishes during the spa’s opening hours (10am-8pm).
f you’d rather not leave your villa, meals can be delivered straight to you around the clock.
There are also three bars at Kagi Maldives: poolside Ufaa, toes-in-the sand Beach Hut and the Piano Bar which is set on the floor above Noo Faru. The latter is a great place to sip on a cocktail before or after dinner downstairs or over at Ke-Un.
