Restaurants & Bars
Dining is a highlight at Finolhu. Baa Baa Beach Diner is the island’s all-day restaurant, serving up breakfasts from a buffet and live cooking stations, as well as a la carte options for lunch and dinner. At the tip of the sandbank, the Fish & Crab Shack is a postcard-perfect lunch venue specialising in fresh seafood plates. It also hosts a weekly seafood extravaganza night. Baahaa Grill brings flavours of North Africa, with grilled meats, tajine and mezze plates. The Sunday steak dinner here is one of the island’s most popular experiences and the Sweet Sixteen dessert – a sharing platter of 16 treats – is a must. Kanusan is the island’s fine dining overwater restaurant, where you can dine on Asian specialties including Mandarin roasted duck. For lighter bites, the island’s retro tuck shop, Milk Bar, focuses on healthy treats including smashed avocado and super-food acai bowls, as well as guilty pleasures like ice-cream and pastries.
