DoubleTree By Hilton Allamanda Beach Resort & Spa is a new charming four star resort located in the south of Mahe, the main Island in the Seychelles with a superb beach, a beautiful lagoon, large granite boulders, complimented by the surrounding mountains lush tropical foliage.
The Resort offers all the comforts of an enchanting island resort with a unique combination of casual elegance and affordability of a romantic get away. Nestled on 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens the resort also features a signature Spa perched on large granite bolder with spectacular views of the bay surrounded by towering palm trees over looking the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
Our Opinion
Allamanda is a more simple and casual resort, with only 30 rooms. It is also a rarity in the Seychelles to have All Inclusive, so this is your main option if that is a must. The other option is Desroches Island starting from around £4,000pp!
Location
The resort is on the the south of Male on one of the scenic coastal roads. Transfers take about 20 minutes.
Accommodation
There are 30 rooms and suite each with a view of the Indian Ocean from large private balconies. Each is tastefully furnished in teak with splashes of bright colours to create a clean, modern look whilst maintaining a welcoming and refreshing feel and comes equipped with television, DVD player, iPod docking station, telephone, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, airconditioning and a private balcony with a full ocean view.
Ocean View Room
Has a sitting area with small sofa, coffee table, TV Console, all Modern design furniture in teak wood and fabrics from the Far East, a very comfortable King size bed, bedside tables with lamps, colorful throw cushions. Enjoy spectacular views of the Indian Ocean from your own private balcony while relaxing on the oversized day bed.
Jacuzzi Ocean View Room
Guests can enjoy warm tropical breezes while enjoy soaking and taking in the sea view from their own private Jacuzzi tub, or just relaxing on the oversized day bed.
Deluxe Jacuzzi Ocean View Room
Guests can enjoy warm tropical breezes while enjoy soaking and taking in the sea view from their own private Jacuzzi tub, or just relaxing on the oversized day bed. Each room also features an over sized bath room and dressing are with a signature hand Made Victorian style copper bath tub.
Restaurants & Bars
Palms Restaurant – Serves meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. with the option of in door and out door dining. It offers classical Mediterranean, Italian fare including International and local Creole favorites showcased from the Palms open show kitchen where the chefs will offer daily specials cooked to order including choices from the restaurants daily changing themed buffet.
The Ocean View Bar – Located opposite the restaurant on the ground floor. The bar is fully stocked with International brands the bar is open from 09:00 a.m. daily until 01:00 hours. Between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily the resort features an afternoon tea with seventeen varieties of Sri Lankan tea, finger sandwiches and afternoon tea pastries.
