Breezes Beach Club & Spa is located on a pristine white sandy beach surrounded by palms providing the perfect retreat. This a is family owned and run resort offering personal service, attention to detail and high standards everywhere.
Our Opinion
Breezes Beach Club & Spa is consistently well reviewed and just seems to get better and better. Please note it is not a luxury property although there are some luxurious elements to it. We have seen other websites call this a luxury 5-Star which it is not but more an excellent 4-star with that boutique atmosphere that you get with a caring family run resort.
Location
Breezes is located on the pristine and peaceful Bwejuu beach, voted one of the world’s top 30 island beaches by Conde Nast Traveller. It is one hour from Stone Town and the airport.
Accommodation
Breezes has 70 rooms each tastefully decorated in ivory tones, with cotton throws, teak wood finishes and Zanzibar carvings. All rooms are air-conditioned, mini-bar, safe and more.
Room types:
- Standard Rooms – are located further away from the sea on the property with a terrace and garden view.
- Deluxe Rooms – are as above but located on ground floor of bungalows with terrace.
- Suites – located on upper floor of bungalows with large balcony and sun beds. The Suites have a walk in dressing room and larger bathroom with large terrace, private sunbathing area, and a covered outdoor lounge area.
Restaurants and Bars
Salama dining room – serves a delicious breakfast buffet and three table service dinners alternating with exotically themed buffets.
The Breakers Grill – this is the Breezes lunch restaurant serving fresh barbecue and catch of the day served on the beachfront under the shade of the palm trees. Live open grill and tandoori oven.
The Tides – private beachfront dining for two in an intimate setting overlooking the Indian Ocean, offering personalized service and a special menu for two.
The Sultans Table – a fusion of Indian and Swahili spices and the very best seafood in a stunning venue overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The Safari Bar – offers a relaxed candlelit atmosphere in the evenings.
The Dhow Bar / Pool Bar – an ideal retreat from the sun during the day.
The Baraza Bar – Fine Whisky and Liqueur Bar complete with a selection of cigars in a stunning Swahili Baraza.
The Chai Room – coffee tea and cakes served every day in the relaxing Tea and coffee lounge with Zanzibari beds.
