Our Opinion
This is a stunning hideaway is usually in the Top 5 on TripAdvisor for Cuba so the majority of reviews are excellent. It has also won 22nd for Top All Inclusive Resorts in the World and 5th for Top All Inclusive Resorts in the Caribbean.
So for all around excellent value and quality this is a superb choice as you would pay double for this type of quality in other places in the Caribbean.
Location
Paradisus Rio de Oro is located right alongside Playa Esmeralda beach, in the Natural Park of Bahia Naranjo, 5 km from Guardalavaca in the province of Holguin in the north-east of Cuba. 56 km distance from from the provincial capital and 72 km from the international airport.
Accommodation
Paradisus Rio de Oro has 292 suites each with two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, lounge and balcony/terrace overlooking the tropical garden. Each has air-conditioning, Satellite TV, CD Player, a Mini-bar, a safe and 24-hours room service.
Junior Suite – these are in two-storey bungalows each with a terrace or balcony and offer garden views.
Superior Junioir Suite – Peaceful bungalow-style rooms located on the ground floor each with a terraces and offer garden views. These are slightly larger have a canopied king-sized bed.
Garden Villa – has two cottages and one contains the sitting room, the dining room and the kitchen and the other contains the bedroom, the sauna and the Hydromassage. These have a privileged location close to exclusive beaches and the Yhi Spa.
