Veligandu
Veligandu Island Resort, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and long stretches of white, sandy beach, is the only resort on the island of Veligandu, in North Ari Atoll. Veligandu is a pretty island & offers that sublime and authentic barefoot experience.
Veligandu also happens to be a clients’ favourite, with a big following of repeat guests, many with over 10 visits. We often get calls from clients to book for the following year, before they have even left the island!
Our Opinion
Veligandu Island is a beautiful & authentic Maldivian experience. It could be described as one of the best experiences because the accommodation is lovely but not overdone, the beaches are breath-taking, there is a lagoon and house reef, and there is plenty of facilities. And the food is great too. These are some of the reasons why Veligandu gets some of the best feedback & there are many repeat guests.
Location
Veligandu is located in the small Atoll of Rasdhoo. It is a 20 minute seaplane flight
Accommodation
Enjoy the beautiful accommodation including a choice between Jacuzzi Water Villas, Water Villas and Jacuzzi Beach Villas. All rooms feature tropical decor, a king size bed, wood floors, private sundeck with furniture, air conditioning, overhead ceiling fan, sitting area with 36 inch flat screen cable TV, DVD Player, broadband Internet connection, stocked mini bar with refrigerator, tea/coffee/espresso machine, IDD telephone, personal safe, spacious bathroom with rain shower, double sinks, bath accessories, hairdryer, nightly turndown service and complimentary use of chaise lounges at the beach and beach towels.
Room types:
Beach Villa (71 sqm) – Beach Villas are the same, but smaller than Jacuzzi Beach Villas, tile or wood bedroom floor and a good but narrower view of the lagoon.
Water Villas (58sqm) – are like the Jacuzzi Water Villas but a little smaller, and without the partial open air bathroom or Jacuzzi.
Jacuzzi Water Villas (86sqm) – are located over-the-water, in the lagoon�a short walk along your private jetty to this secluded and more spacious hideaway featuring a partial open air bathroom, an outdoor Jacuzzi and stairs into the sea.
Restaurants & Bars
The Dhonveli Restaurant – the main dining room and serves “all you can eat” buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunday breakfast welcomes you with complimentary Sparkling Wine.
